The task? To restore the original floorboards of his sea-view property to their former glory. One gentleman who is lucky enough to live here contacted us with the task of restoring the original floorboards in his property. We did extensive work, including wood worm treatment and floorboard replacement. We then painstakingly sanded and restored the flooring, aiming for uniformity across the entire property. The work was finished with a warm stain, and a hard wax oil for protection.

Brunswick Square is an architectural gem that dates back to the 1950s. Saved from demolition, it now stands as one of Brighton’s most sought-after residential locations. A testament to this fact was our client – a fortunate gentleman who had made one of these stunning sea-view flats his home.

The job at hand involved restoring original floorboards that had seen better days. Over time, they had suffered wear and tear common in properties of such age – including wood worm damage and some degree of deterioration requiring replacement boards.

Finally came staining & varnishing using Morrells professional wood stains followed by sealing & oiling via Osmo oils providing both protection against future damages plus enhancing natural grain patterns inherent within each board giving them renewed life!

Result

What emerged post-restoration was nothing short than spectacular! The warm stain beautifully highlighted intricate grain patterns while hard wax oil lent an added layer safeguard against daily wear-tear thereby extending longevity significantly compared against untreated counterparts.

Moreover though visually appealing alone wasn’t sufficient; functionality mattered equally hence why Blanchon gap filling resin got applied wherever necessary thus eliminating potential tripping hazards besides contributing positively overall visual appeal too!
