About the Job

The task at hand involved revitalising an impressive oak parquet floor which had unfortunately fallen into disrepair due to neglect over time. Many blocks needed replacement – a challenge we were more than equipped to handle given our extensive experience in dealing with all kinds of wooden floors from pine to parquet.

What We Did

In order to restore this neglected masterpiece back to its former glory, we leveraged our four-stage sanding process honed through years of practice:

1. Preparation: First off, we prepared the area by replacing damaged blocks using reclaimed pieces sourced from trusted suppliers.
2. Sanding: Next came the actual sanding process where we meticulously removed old finishes layer by layer without causing any damage.
3.Gap Filling: To ensure seamless continuity between blocks, resin mixed with wood slivers was used for gap filling.
4. Finishing: Finally, after thorough cleaning post-sanding stage, hard wax oil was applied which accentuated natural sheen inherent in oakwood .

Throughout these stages attention-to-detail remained paramount while ensuring minimal disruption during operations inside this luxurious abode.

Result

The result? A beautifully restored oak parquet floor gleaming anew! The rich grain patterns now stood out vividly against warm hues brought forth by careful application of premium Osmo oils and Morrells professional wood stains – products known for their superior finish quality!
